Past Student Research Projects 

  • Effectiveness of hypnotherapy for treatment of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder through improvement in their sensory processing and equine movement.
  • Mycobacterium tuberculosis and a specific nucleotide sequence that would potentially inhibit its growth.
  • Validation of a standardized functional assessment tool for Medicare beneficiaries receiving care in post-acute care facilities.  
  • Study to determine how physical therapy intensity affects functional outcomes
  • Study of behavioral health surveys and an investigation of second line of treatment for benzodiazepine-refractory status epileptics in a pediatric emergency room
  • Systematic review of Narrative Medicine and its value in enhancing healthcare quality by improving the physician's understanding of the patient's experience
