Learn more about the GW Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medicine Certificate Program for career changers who possess a bachelor's degree but lack the prerequisite science courses necessary to apply to medical, dental, or PA school.
The Pre-Med/Pre-Dental students complete coursework required of U.S. medical and dental schools (see green colored rows in the table below) with Pre-PA students. This affords a unique opportunity for interprofessional education prior to entering graduate health professions programs.
Pre-PA track students will take a number of core sciences with the Pre-Med/Pre-Dental students that are required for many PA programs (see the green colored rows in the table below).
General Admission Requirements
1. Degree: An undergraduate bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university prior to matriculation, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, as calculated by PostBacCAS.
